Pre Appointment.

Please eat a meal before our session and do your best to avoid both alcohol and caffeine. Alcohol and caffeine are blood thinners and may compromise the integrity of your tattoo. Make sure to drink plenty of water and get a good night’s rest beforehand.

Wear clothes that are loose-fitting and allow easy access to your tattoo placement. If you want something on the upper thigh, stomach, ribs or back, I recommend bringing a bikini to change into. I would also recommend darker colours in case of ink stains.

Feel free to bring headphones, a book, a video game, etc. for our session. I won’t be offended if we don’t talk much during our appointment. In addition, you are welcome to bring snacks and water. A guest is always welcome, however, I would like to remind you that seating may be limited due to the volume of artists that may be working at the same time.

Post Appointment.

The healing of your tattoo is your responsibility. If you require a touchup, please don’t be afraid to reach out via email or Instagram dm. However, I ask that you wait at least 2 months from your initial appointment before requesting a touchup to allow your tattoo to fully heal.

Leave the second skin for approximately 3–5 days. It is normal to see ink/plasma/blood buildup underneath the bandage. If you experience any irritation or redness, you may be having an allergic reaction and should remove the second skin IMMEDIATELY.

IF your second skin bandage comes off prior to reaching the 3–5 days, that’s totally fine! You can leave the bandage off and don’t need to get a new one. Instead, keep your tattoo clean by washing it 2–3 times per day with a gentle, non-scented antibacterial soap and drying the area fully with a paper towel. Once it’s been about 3–5 days since getting the tattoo, you can start using unscented lotion to keep the area moisturized.

Avoid wearing tight clothing around the tattoo for the first few days. Please also try to avoid sweating excessively for at least 2–3 days after getting the tattoo.

After 3–5 days, gently peel off the bandage while in the shower. Do not remove the second skin like you would remove a band-aid, think of it more like command strips and pull slowly away from your person. Wash your tattoo well with gentle, non-scented antibacterial soap and lukewarm water to remove any excess blood, plasma or ink. Pat your tattoo dry with a paper towel.

Wash your tattoo 2–3 times a day and moisturize it with an unscented lotion about 2–3 times a day. The area will likely become itchy and may start to peel within the first week but do NOT pick or scratch at it. If the itchy sensation is too much, slap the area or run it under lukewarm water to relieve yourself.

Please avoid having your tattoo in direct sunlight, swimming and saunas for about 3–4 weeks. If you are going into the sun, do your best to keep the area covered with a light layer of fabric. After the first week, you can use sunscreen on the area.
